Paimentorvet
"I was told that ”Paimentorvet” would be the right name for the flute displayed. I received it from my Finnish colleagues when they followed me in the presidency of the Education Committee of the Council of he European Union in 1999. The photo below may help to identify the instrument. It is made of birch wood and bark. The wood is split in half, then carved into two halves of a flute which are pasted together and wrapped with birch bark."Info & photo courtesy by 24 Flute Display - Bonn UN Campus.
